Dinner/Team Build Event (October 19th)

Coach Anton has purchased tickets for all athletes that RSVP’d for the HeartStoppers Haunted House, please be sure to Venmo him or bring money to practice. If you did not RSVP, tickets are still available directly from Heartstoppers. Please purchase tickets for the 8 p.m. time slot. This is not a mandatory team event or a Rio sponsored event, rather a fun night for teammates to get together. We will be meeting at The Old Spaghetti Factory (12401 Folsom Blvd, Rancho Cordova, CA) at 6 p.m. After Dinner we will go to Heartstoppers Haunted House (2300 Mine Shaft Lane, Rancho Cordova, CA), we anticipate finishing up at the Haunted House around 9:30 p.m. Each Athlete will be responsible for the cost of their meal (approx $25) and the haunted house ($30 online). All athletes and parents are welcome and those who don’t want to do the haunted house are invited to join for the dinner portion of the evening. We are asking for parent volunteers to drive from the Spaghetti Factory to the Haunted House as they are about 1.5 miles apart. Parents who are not driving from Spaghetti Factory to the haunted house would drop their kids at the Spaghetti Factory at 6 p.m. and pick up at the haunted house at 9:30 p.m.

CAL Center Meet

This Wednesday, October 16th we will have our first Capital Athletic League meet at Willow Hills Reservoir Park, the meet will begin at 4:00 p.m. The schedule order is F/S Boys, F/S Girls, Varsity Boys, Varsity Girls; all athletes will run the 2 mile course. Races are anticipated to start 20 minutes apart. This will be an Early Dismissal Day (2:25 p.m.) for athletes.

There is no school provided transportation for this meet, please coordinate transportation for your athlete.
