RAAB Membership Dues
***PLEASE CHECK AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE JOINED RAAB AND PAID MEMBERSHIP DUES!***
Cross Country is only at 50% participation, our goal is 100% membership participation! If you haven’t already done so, please pay your RAAB dues as soon as possible. Dues are $110 per Athlete per sport, there is no longer a multi sport membership. If the dues are a financial strain please have a confidential conversation with Coach Anton and we can set up a payment plan or possibly a RAAB scholarship.
Woodbridge Cross Country Classic
The much anticipated annual trip to the Woodbridge Classic & Disneyland is this week. We will compete in the Woodbridge High School Cross Country Classic Race at the Silverlakes Sports Complex in Norco on Friday, September 20, 2019, followed the next day (Saturday, September 21, 2019) by a trip to Disneyland.
The group will leave the Rio High School parking lot in cars driven by parents, after school on Thursday, September 19th, returning on Sunday, September 22nd (that means that students will miss school on Friday, September 20th).
All forms and the itinerary for the trip can be accessed at riotrackxc.com. Please review the Itinerary for trip details.
You can find the Woodbridge Classic Meet Schedule here with race times, Rio will run in the RED division.
STUDENTS: Coach Anton will have the Cross Country closet open before school on Thursday so you can store your bags. We will be leaving at 2pm after school gets out so make sure you bring everything to school for the trip. Alternatively, your parents can meet you after school with all your bags.
You can find vehicle and room assignments here. Please do not ask coaches to switch your room or vehicle assignment because you aren’t with all your friends.
Athletes not attending the Woodbridge Classic will need to run on their own. It is important that you continue to train to stay in race condition. Please see Coach Anton to get the details of your workouts.
We have the opportunity to raise money for the team and have a great team experience. The Rio Cross Country team has been asked to work a water station at this years Urban Cow race on October 6th as well as The Run to Feed the Hungry on Thanksgiving Day. We need 20 Student Athletes to work at each of these events. We have done these events the last couple of years and it is always a fun team experience and a chance to be out supporting the Sacramento running community. This is a great opportunity to earn volunteer hours for your college resume.
Our season schedule is available at athletic.net, which is the website where you can find out information about upcoming meets as well as competition results.
