We are looking forward to great performances from all of our athletes to close out the season at the League Championships this year.

Track & Field Banquet

We will have our 2018 Track & Field Banquet on Wednesday, May 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Rio Cafeteria. We will be having food catered from Serritella’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria, the cost is $10 per person. Please complete the banquet form and send it with your athlete so we can order enough food for everyone. We would like everyone to join us for this celebration and understand that the cost may be an issue for some families. If this is a concern please have your athlete speak confidentially with their coach. We want all our athletes to celebrate their accomplishments and be recognized together at the Banquet.

RAAB Membership Dues

If you haven’t already done so, please pay your RAAB dues as soon as possible.  Dues are $75 per player for one sport, or $125 for the year for multiple sports.  These dues are critical to the success of our Athletic Programs at Rio, paying for coaching stipends, operating expenses, uniforms etc.  It’s a small amount to pay for all that our children receive from the sports programs.

Communication

We understand that with our communication platform and updated website, we are missing a place to share photos and highlights throughout the season(s). So, we created a closed Facebook group to do just that. We’d like to start with a closed group to help control the content and the audience who views it.

We also understand that not everyone is on Facebook, so please do not feel obligated to join as we’ll continue to use our weekly newsletter, REMIND, and website (riotrackxc.com) for program specific information and updates.

To get started, please visit https://www.facebook.com/groups/riotrackfieldxc/ from your mobile device or via the web and ask to join.

Go to http://eepurl.com/dhevp9 and sign up to be on our email communication list.

Additionally, you may visit https://www.remind.com/join/riotrackxc to add your email or cell number to the Remind contact list.

We will be using a weekly email as well as our website (https://riotrackxc.com/) for updates.

The Remind platform will be used for time sensitive communications.

Bella Vista Bronco Invitational Meet Info: April 14, 2018

The Bronco Invitational will be a rolling start format. We have added estimates of starts to the order of events below but these can change significantly, especially as the meet progresses. This will be an all-day event, cheer on your fellow teammates and bring some homework! We provide estimates to try and help you gauge inviting friends and family to watch but things can change and you don’t want to miss your event.

All athletes should check in with the “Clerk of the Course” for their races when called to do so. The Clerk of the Course is located at the northwest corner of the track. Athletes in running events must contact the Clerk of the Course to receive lane assignments. The Clerk of the Course will assign you a “hip number” when you check in for your race. The hip number should be worn on the left side of your shorts. Please do not obscure your hip number by having your singlet outside of your shorts.

Field Event Check-in: Athletes should check in with the official in the field event area prior to the start of the division they are competing in.
