• NOTE: This is a selection meet for which very few athletes will qualify!

Sacramento State HS Track Classic (March 3rd)

This is a selection only meet. Only the top 32 Athletes entered in each event will be selected. Rio Track and Field will have a limited number of athletes that will be selected. We are waiting to hear from the meet organizer to see which of our athletes have been selected. The Coaches will inform Athletes accepted into the meet by Thursday, March 1st.

Upcoming Meets

We are approaching a busy time for the Running Raiders, March 10th – March 17th. We have 3 meets scheduled in 7 days. Please visit the Rio Americano Athletic.net page for more info on individual meets.

Saturday, March 10th is our first FULL TEAM meet! We will be participating in the 4th Annual Randy Sturgeon Invitational at Granite Bay High School. This is a meet which all athletes will be entered into at least one event. Again, it is important athletes who cannot attend let their coaches know as far in advance as possible.

Thursday, March 15th we will have our first Capital Athletic League Meet at Vista Del Lago High School. This is a FULL TEAM meet which all athletes will be entered into at least one event. Again, it is important athletes who cannot attend let their coaches know as far in advance as possible.

Saturday, March 17th we will be participating in the Husky Invitational at Sheldon High School. This is a FULL TEAM meet which all athletes will be entered into at least one event. Again, it is important athletes who cannot attend let their coaches know as far in advance as possible.

RAAB Membership Dues

If you haven’t already done so, please pay your RAAB dues as soon as possible. Dues are $75 per player for one sport, or $125 for the year for multiple sports. These dues are critical to the success of our Athletic Programs at Rio, paying for coaching stipends, operating expenses, etc. It’s a small amount to pay for all that our children receive from the sports programs.
