NO PRACTICE FRIDAY – 5/14/21

After a good week of practice in the heat, we are giving the team Friday off for a three-day weekend before our first full league meet at Vista Del Lago.

Weekly Schedule:

• M/W/TH/F: Practice @ Rio Americano H.S. 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.
• Tuesday: CAL League Meet @ Vista Del Lago H.S. 3:30 – 6:00 p.m.
  • *Early Dismissal from school 1:30 p.m.
  • *Arrive at Vista Del Lago by 3:00 p.m.

Coaches will continue to communicate practice times and changes to the athletes however, you can check riotrackxc.com for the current Track & Field calendar as well as any news updates. Additionally, if you use Google Calendars, you can add the Rio Track & Field calendar.

Upcoming Meets

Tuesday, May 18th – We will have our 1st CAL League Meet. Students will have an early dismissal at 1:15p.m. and should arrive at 3 p.m. with the first events starting at 3:30 p.m.  The school does not provide transportation for this meet, please coordinate transportation for your athlete.

Students who know for sure their events are later in the meet, do not have to arrive as early as 3 p.m. Families, please limit the number of family members/spectators…in other words, don’t bring your entire family in order to keep attendance numbers down for COVID-19. Please wear a mask at appropriate times and social distance, especially on school grounds.

The health department is trusting us to follow COVID-19 guidelines. This is not a personal decision or choice, it’s the rules and our season may be cancelled if too many people are roaming without masks. Other sports and leagues have been cancelled or forced to compete without spectators present.
