Weekly Schedule:

The Official Track Season has begun!

• M-TH: Practice @ Rio Americano H.S. 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.
• Friday: Dual Meet @ Christian Brothers 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.
  • *Early Dismissal from school 1:30 which is 10 minutes into 5th period
  • *Arrive at Christian Brothers by 2:30 p.m.

Coaches will continue to communicate practice times and changes to the athletes however, you can check riotrackxc.com for the current Track & Field calendar as well as any news updates. Additionally, if you use Google Calendars, you can add the Rio Track & Field calendar.

Upcoming Meets

Friday, April 23rd we will have our first Dual Meet at Christian Brothers High School (4315 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Sacramento, CA). This is a FULL TEAM meet in which all athletes will be entered into at least one event. This will be an Early Dismissal Day 1:30pm for athletes as the meet starts at 3:00 p.m. Please arrive @ CB by 2:30 p.m. The school does not provide transportation for this meet, please coordinate transportation for your athlete.

*Any student athlete still in another Rio Sport will not be entered into this meet, unless you have finished your last competition for that sport.

*No Pole Vault or High Jump will be contested as CB does not have pits.

Uniforms

Uniform ($60) may be purchased from Coach Boler. If you have a financial issue please speak with Coach Boler and we can arrange for you to borrow a uniform for the season. Uniforms are good for all 4 years. If you have a uniform from last season or cross country, you are all set. We will be handing out uniforms near the end of practices this week.

RAAB Membership Dues

If you haven’t already done so, please pay your RAAB dues as soon as possible, dues are $110 per player for one sport. These dues are critical to the success of our Athletic Programs at Rio, paying for coaching stipends, operating expenses, etc. It’s an important part of our programs for all the benefits it provides our children in Rio sports programs.
