Rio Americano to honor former track star at inaugural Athletic Hall of Fame event

Rio Americano High School will be honoring one of our own Runnin’ Raiders, Eileen Claugus (Class of 1972), at the Hall of Fame event on April 22, 2017. To give you all a target, Eileen was an alternate on the Olympic Team in 1972 at age 16 and set the high school mile record at 4:40.7 which lasted for 10 years.

Eileen is already a member of the Sacramento Running Assocation Half of Fame.

We hope all families and runners can attend the Hall of Fame event on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at The Center located at 2300 Sierra Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95825. Tickets are $20 for General Admission and $10 for Children/Rio Students.

Visit riosports.org/events to purchase tickets.
